I hope you’re all well! A few weeks ago I had a little trip away to the Costa Dorada, Spain and gosh- it was lovely! So I thought I’d share some bits and bobs…
Little Spanish towns are the cutest and this one in Barcelona was beautiful. With narrow cobbled streets, decorated with flowers and greenery, I could’ve walked on for hours! If you know me well, you’ll know I’m a shopaholic, so the adorable little Spanish shops were 100% my thing!
Usually I hate markets but Christmas or Spanish are exceptions. Spanish fan? A must souvenir of course! Although, upon returning to the UK, I have genuinely needed it. Churros? A definite must. I LOVE churros, especially the sugared ones but chocolate sauce is okay with me! Huge spreads of fresh fruit were a big thing at the market too and I have officially had the JUICIEST water melon.
I stayed in between Salou and Cambrils, two very lovely towns, during the San Juan Festival. Which meant that during the festival, we were surrounded by bonfires and thousands of firework displays! It was an amazing evening, everyone was in all white, sipping cocktails on the beaches with their BBQs and letting off fireworks. I personally had a few cocktails but you can’t go to Spain without having sangria right?! 1 jug please!
As much as I loved the Costa Dorada, Barcelona stole my heart. It was perfect. Tapas along the sea front and the magic fountains were my highlight. The fountains were AMAZING!! Honestly, to say they were magical would be an understatement! I didn’t even take any photos of the show because I was too busy actually watching it in amazement.
I hope you all loved my little Spanish break post, let me know if any of you have been!
